Brief introduction to Ashtanga
Ashtanga yoga was standardized and popularized by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). The practice focuses on connecting breath and movement to build strength, flexibility, and focus. Ashtanga yoga is a great place to start if you're new to yoga, giving you the tools you need to progress and grow your practice.
What you can expect from this class
This class is great for all levels. In our small class you will be guided through a sequence (Primary Series- beginner Ashtanga yoga) and given adjustments and modifications to help you learn the poses. As you begin to connect your breath with this flowing sequence and become familiar with the poses, your mind will move into a meditative and calm state and you will improve strength and flexibility.

Yoga Pad Henley offers a variety of yoga classes ranging from dynamic Ashtanga Vinyasa, Rocket, and Mandala yoga. All of our teachers are Yoga Alliance RYT certified, and we offer small group classes. Yoga Pad Henley also offers private lessons, for those who'd like 1:1 or private group sessions.
