Kalma Baby classes 6 weeks to crawling
Kalma baby yoga sessions can be started from 6 weeks old we advise after a health check up to when they become mobile. We offer yoga inspired stretches to music, song and rhyme during sessions along with lots of sensory props. offer a relaxed but fun environment where classes are delivered using yoga inspired stretches. Classes are structured to offer 45 minutes of yoga which follow EYFS and SEN guidelines. We offer some lovely relaxation at the end-which is always well earned!
Once sitting unaided is established a progressive move can come into this class where the pace is faster and little ones are introduced to more yoga inspired stretches that are age appropriate. The same structure surrounds these classes as the younger class previous, but at a more advanced level for little ones. The focus is on balance coordination and reaching milestones.
Our classes are very much focused on your little ones but we do have the occasional together stretch for parents and little ones to promote our bonding experience. Baby yoga has so many amazing benefits for your little ones to reap such as promoting healthy and deeper sleeping patterns, body awareness and confidence, suppleness in joints and strength in muscles, co-ordination, gross motor skills, helps colic and constipation to name a few from an exhaustive list!

Heading up our award winning children’s yoga and mindfulness classes in St Albans Harpenden and surrounding areas.
I’ve been practitioner yoga for over 20 years and it’s become a very important part of my life. After having my son in May 2017 he experienced severe eczema and reflux very shortly after his birth. I was also going through post-natal depression and as soon as I started feeling better I was keen to take him to a baby yoga class as I knew it would help both of us. As much as we loved the class we had nowhere to go once he started crawling.
Whilst scouring the internet for months on end for yoga classes I could take him to, I came across the award winning Kalma baby childrens yoga and mindfulness classes. I just knew I had to make something available in my area and bring it down to the South East of England. The Kalma Baby brand holds a Gold accreditation from the Childrens Activity Association, they’re the only regulatory body for childrens activities in the UK.
I’m thrilled to be bringing our award winning children’s yoga and mindfulness helping children improve their health and well being. With baby yoga, toddler yoga and primary school aged yoga to offer I’ll be delivering children’s yoga classes from the ages of 6 weeks through 12 years.
Working closely with school nurseries and community groups in the areas of St Albans, Harpenden and surrounding, we can help aid children’s development and support their health and well being through the use of breathing stretching and mindfulness. Children’s yoga and mindfulness offer a range of benefits for children which include body confidence, flexibility, development and balance to name a few. We want yoga and mindfulness to be more easily accessed by children when they need it. A child who starts a journey of yoga and mindfulness can inherit tools to life of health and well being.
I am fully trained and qualified to be bringing you children’s yoga and mindfulness. I hold a first aid and safeguarding certification, I am fully insured, and have an enhanced DBS check.
