Lisa Leath: Yoga for Children and Beginners

I want to bring yoga to everyone. I completed the two-year Hatha Yoga training at triyoga under Jean Hall and Mimi Kuo Deemer and went on to earn certificates in the following yoga disciplines: Children and Teen yoga with Susannah Hoffman, Vinyasa Flow with Mimi Kuo Deemer and Restorative yoga with Anna Ashby.

Drawing from my diverse background and training, I teach slow flow classes based on the movements of Hatha, Vinyasa and qigong in a supportive, accessible, fun space for all. My classes are both challenging and light hearted with a focus on healthy alignment principles and integrating movement with breath. I love sharing my passion for yoga and hope to encourage my students to see yoga as a tool to cultivate mind-body awareness.

I spent seven years teaching and tutoring children but my interest in teaching yoga to children grew after a short visit home where I spent most of my vacation teaching yoga to my niece and some of the other children in the neighbuorhood. It was at this moment that I decided to combine my love of working with kids and yoga.
