Chair yoga
I teach :
breath control techniques ( pranayama ) which helps increase lung capacity and induces feeling of calmness / well being.
We do seated warm up exercises for approx 25 /30 minutes including seated sun salutations. After this we do a short standing sequence using the chair for support which usually includes a balance and leg , hip work. Some of my attendees remain seated during the standing and do the exercises seated.
I sometimes incorporate hand mudras which exercises the muscles and joints in our hands and wrists.
Relaxation techniques and meditation are also taught!

Hello! I’m Kerry and I teach creative vinyasa yoga classes and chair yoga classes. I have been practising yoga for 24 years.
My classes are themed around either yoga traditions & philosophy or anatomy based or a peak pose. My classes often include pranayama ( breath control techniques) , meditation and visualisation. I believe yoga is for everyone and my classes are inclusive as I give options throughout the flow. I have mats, blocks and straps available to use.

Chair yoga Tuesdays at Highwoods Bluebell Centre 1:30-2:30pm and Rowhedge Village Hall 3:30-4:30pm
