This class will follow the same principles as the more dynamic Vinyasa Flow classes, with strong emphasis based on bandha, core strength, the breath and alignment. Although the Deep Slow Flow will be less dynamic than the Vinyasa Flow classes I teach, there will still be a focus on flow – where awareness of the transitions in and out of the asanas (or poses) is as important as awareness in the asanas themselves. There will be an opening meditation, a strengthening, warming flow sequence and then a deeper, slower flow sequence to release tension, restriction and increase flexibility – unwinding mind and body in unison. I will use a series of hands on assists to further deepen your practice, before finishing with relaxation and a closing meditation.
