I provide yoga classes for the over 40s to help them build and maintain strength, freedom of movement and peace of mind for a healthier, happier and longer life.
I offer face-to-face and live online group classes and 1:1s. The face-to-face classes are in Upper Killay and Pennard, Swansea, South Wales. Online classes are via Zoom. in my mind.
Building and maintaining strength, mobility, balance, mental clarity and calm are all really important to me as I get older, and it is these I seek to bring to my teaching. I aim to help you integrate a sense of curiosity with finding and experiencing ease of movement in body and mind. A typical class will include some exploration of how we move, different poses or asanas, some integration of conscious breathwork, and relaxation. It is likely you’ll feel worked and stretched in a good way at the end of a class. Props such as a wall, a belt, cork bricks may be used and each class is different recognising the body needs both repetition and variety. If you prefer a lot of chanting and yoga philosophy (although I do include some) or a fast and flowy practice then my classes are probably not for you.
