Fun and friendly, this is a gentle yoga class where you don’t have to be super flexible or have a bionic body!
Gentle yoga teacher, Elaine Marie Ewens will guide you through a series of postures, plus breathing, sound and visualization practises. By individual attention she will aim to ensure you stretch and strengthen yourself in a safe and healthy way.
The style of yoga is in the Krishnamacharya/Desikachar tradition where the breath is key, intending to create a serene, meditative state in the practitioner.
No prior experience of yoga is needed; beginners are really welcome. Both men and women are encouraged and the classes are suitable for most abilities and ages.

Elaine fully understands the healing and joy that gentle yoga can bring. She found yoga and meditation powerful tools in her recovery from an illness: Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E). Now healthy and qualified, she has returned to her Frome town roots to share the skills she has gained.
Elaine explains “you don’t have to be super flexible or bionic; if you can breathe and are conscious you can do yoga!”
Elaine has 22 years’ experience of yoga practise and during this time has taken many courses in yoga study.
She has been teaching yoga classes, meditation classes, Vedic and Yoga sutra chanting and individual 121 tuition for 12 years and is fully insured as a teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga.
Elaine is a fully certified yoga teacher, holding a double diploma within the Krishnamacharya/Desikachar tradition and the BWY.
