I have a new beginner's Hatha Yoga course starting 23rd January 2012. This nine week course will take place over two blocks of classes and will go back to the way I originally learned Hatha Yoga 25 years ago at the Himalayan Institute. It is a gentle, methodical method, where we gradually build upon what we have learned the week before. Each class typically includes: centring via breath awareness, warming up, asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing practices), mantra (sound vibration), mudras (hand seals) and guided relaxation. In this beginner's class we see how to use props such as the walls, chairs, cushions, blocks and straps to help us get comfortable in the poses. I am accustomed to teaching mixed ability classes and do give options for those who are more flexible. Please contact me for a flyer or an enrolment form.

I have been pracitising yoga for over 20 years and completed 200 hours of teacher training at the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania in 1998. I completed my Perinatal Diploma, yoga for labour and birth in 2010-2011. In 2012 I have started my advanced postnatal diploma with Birthlight.
I currently teach a Hatha Level 2 class, two Hatha Level 1 classes and two pregnancy yoga classes in Rugby, Warwickshire. I also teach monthly workshops on yoga for labour and birth for women in late pregnancy, along with their chosen birth partners.
