I am a qualified Hatha and Yin Yoga teacher. Qualifying to teach Hatha Yoga nearly 8 years ago and Yin only recently. I have been in the fitness industry for over 30 yrs. Retiring from being a Sports Massage and Injury therapist in February this year after 13 yrs of practice to concentrate on teaching Yoga. Because of my back ground as a therapist I am very hands on as a teacher and very aware of the injuries people could cause if they are not aligned correctly. I love Hatha as it is a slow, controlled form of yoga which concentrates on the breathing and holding the postures in rhythm with the breath and focusing on muscles. Yin is a natural ad on as the postures here are all seated and are held for an amount of time focusing more on the connective tissues, so I have completed the Yin and Yang. Although my Hatha has more Yin elements in it than Yang. I also teach coreball classes and Fitness Pilates but my main focus is now on Yoga. I teach class based, 1 to 1 at a students home or at my home. I am very flexible, pardon the pun.
