Yoga. What else?

I haven’t always been into yoga. Touching my toes was a hilarious concept and at least 25 years had passed since I’d been upside down in an attempt to stand on my head. Despite that I somehow decided to give this yoga thing a go..

I lived and travelled different places before settling down in the UK 14 years ago. It took me two Masters degrees in Economics and International business and several years at the office desk to realise that the corporate world is not for me.
I first explored yoga during my travels in Asia, Bali, New Zealand and Costa Rica, trying different styles of Hatha, Ashtanga or Jivamukti. But it was in my early thirties, when I was seeking some relief for lower back pain from an office job and long hours driving, when I discovered the immense benefits of hot yoga and have been a dedicated practitioner ever since.
A few years later, I found myself in Nepal, doing my TT with the Akshi Yogashala School from Rishikeksh, India. I have recently become qualified to teach Hot Yoga at Camyoga and continue to grow under the expert guidance of Jozef Wievel.

I enjoy attending classes, workshops, and trainings with inspirational teachers round the world, being truly grateful for the compassion and wisdom my teachers have shared with me. Forever a student, here I am today, still giving this yoga thing a go.

My classes are focused on the correct use of breath and a deeper sense of self-awareness, allowing students to safely explore their physical limits, allowing them to arrive at the posture that is comfortable and safe, reminding them to be grounded and respectful of their own limitations through their practice. I put emphasis on correct postural alignment and understanding of the uniqueness of each person’s body, to achieve more accessible and safer practice.
