Mum and Baby Yoga

Beautiful bonding time for mums with their new bundles in a class which enhances communication between you and your baby! You will be guided through a series of strengthening movements and postures that help you regain your alignment, muscle tone and flexibility following pregnancy and birth. We especially focus on toning the pelvic floor! Much of the class is interactive, and it is a joy to watch your baby following your every move with their eyes, and laughing as we sing songs and include them in tactile practises and movement.
Yoga improves babies' digestion (learn routines to help relieve colic), helps develop babies' motor skills, proprioception, encourages babies to move from reflex to voluntary movements, and stimulates babies' senses, contributing to the development of the nervous system.

The class is a great way to meet new mums and yoga is known for its energetic and emotionally healing benefits both for you and baby. It is a great way to combat post-natal depression and heal physically and emotionally after birth. Optional tea and chats are available after the class in the cosy Yoga2shape home studio!
