Pregnancy Yoga Northenden is a gentle, mixed-ability hatha yoga class comprising asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and guided meditations tailored for pregnant women in their second or third trimester of a healthy pregnancy.
The class offers much needed time to connect with your body and your baby, and to unwind from your daily stresses and responsibilities. Postures will be performed with close supervision and suitable modifications/use of props. This will ensure a safe practice for you and your baby.
Please bring your own mat and props (including a pillow and a blanket) if possible. However, there are several spare mats, props, pillows and cushions available if needed. Wear comfortable clothes, bring a drink and a warm jumper too.
Note: many poses can be performed using a birthing ball, so bring one along if you have one and want to learn how to use it. Class starts 31.01.2017.
The class capacity is 12 and booking is essential. If you cannot attend a booked class, please cancel by 10am on the day of the class so another lady can take your place. Failure to cancel will mean that other ladies will be given priority for future bookings.

Amanda Williamson is a local based in Northenden in South Manchester. She qualified as an instructor in April 2015 after many years of practice and dreaming she could one day teach too. She is also also a part-time PhD-qualified scientist in the local hospital, animal lover, and mum.
