The classes are suitable for ladies in their 2nd or 3rd trimester. Sessions include yoga based movements and breathing techniques to help strengthen your body and relax your mind in preparation for birth as well as alleviating some of the discomforts of pregnancy. It’s also a great way to meet other mums-to-be in your area. No previous experience of yoga is needed.
The classes include pregnancy-specific yoga postures and techniques to help:
• Open the hips and bring flexibility to the pelvis
• Align the posture throughout pregnancy and so help relieve backache and other pregnancy ailments
• Postures to help strengthen the body and build stamina
• Breathing techniques for childbirth preparation
• Yoga on the ball and other supportive techniques such as massage for labour
• Each class finishes with a lovely relaxation!
