This is a gentle yoga class and includes both seated and standing postures, we will slowly transition from one posture to another. We'll also incorporate some simple balances too and spend some time focusing on connecting breath with movement to provide your body with the much needed mental and physical nourishment you deserve. We close the practice with relaxation.

Deborah has practiced yoga on and off for many years to bring balance to a very busy career. She knew she wanted to do more than the odd class here and there and in 2013 life’s journey took her to Glasgow. It was here where Deborah was encouraged by her teacher to deepen her practice. In 2015 she took herself off to her first yoga retreat in Spain with Sally Parkes Yoga and on her return, she signed up for teacher training. Deborah completed her 200 hour Laxmi Yoga Teacher Training, with Sally Parkes Yoga in London. The Laxmi principles are based on energy, neutral alignment, healthy mobility and breath work. The practice is dynamic and energising but does not exhaust the body. Laxmi encourages you to be more at ease with your body so you can bring balance to your mind.
Deborah continues to develop her teaching, specialising in Yin, Restorative and Slow Flow and would love to welcome you to Yogabutterfly, a beautiful small studio in the heart of Low Fell. Open House, 504 Durham Road, Low Fell (opposite the Co-op). Deborah also teaches from time to time at the award winning studio Yogalilies in Newcastle.
