Toddler Yoga Northenden is a fun yoga class for walking age to preschool age children (approximately 12 months-4/5 years). Classes involve yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation using games, music, story-telling and nursery rhymes.
It is understood that children in this age range have very different ability levels and short attention spans. This is a very relaxed and flexible class. Each child will be encouraged to participate in a very gentle fashion in a way that suits their individual abilities. Children are free to move about the designated space and "duck in and out" of the class as suits them.
It is suggested that comfortable clothes are worn to give the child freedom to move. It is also suggested that the parent/caregiver joins in if they desire. Hey, you could learn something new and get fit too! If this is the case then please do bring your own mat if you have one (there are a few spare if you don't).
The class includes a healthy mindful snack just before the final relaxation and closing Namaste song.
Wednesdays 10.30-11.30 am (starting 27/01/2016)
Northenden Methodist Church Hall, Palatine Road, Northenden. South Manchester. M22 4JS.
Cost £4 per class (drop in)
£2 extra per sibling
Non-walking babies FREE
The parent/caregiver must supervise their own child(ren) during the class.
