Vinyasa Flow, Docklands E14

Vinyasa Yoga is an energetic and flowing practice, with an emphasis on coordinating movement with the breath and flowing from one posture to the next. Imaginative, sometimes challenging, and always fun sequences of postures are practised in different classes and may focus on standing postures and balances, backbends, forward bends, hip openers, hand balances, twists or inversions, or a flowing sequence combining all of these. The classes are fun, playful and creative and a chance to try out new postures that you may not have done before.
My classes are welcoming and friendly, and you are always encouraged to move at your own pace and to listen to your body and what it needs today.
Each class starts slowly, with a drawing inwards and connection to the breath, some gentle movements and stretches, and then gradually builds up into more flowing movements and a stronger asana sequence.
The sequence always looks to create a balance between strength and flexibility in the body, and will energise and invigorate, whilst always bringing more calm to the mind. And I always leave time for a long relaxation at the end.

SARAH BURGESS YOGA LONDON

I am a dedicated yoga practitioner and a passionate, very experienced and fully qualified Senior Yoga Teacher based in East London, with over 14 years teaching experience and 800+ hours of teaching certifications.

I teach regular weekly classes in London , as well as monthly workshops and beginners courses. I also offers personalised private yoga, both for individuals and in the workplace. I teach mostly in East London (E14, E2, E8, E9), as well as in The City and Central London.

I am proud to be recognised as a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals and have also been honoured to be featured as Teacher of the Month in Yoga Magazine.

I truly believe that everyone can benefit from yoga, whatever their background, age, size or current physical condition, and my approach to teaching is one of warmth, encouragement and care and is always tailored to an individual’s needs. My main aim is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone and to help people find more ease and freedom in both their body and mind.

Having lived in London and worked in a busy office job in the publishing industry for many years before teaching, I am very aware of the stresses and challenges of big city living, and know how a regular yoga practice can be enormously helpful in dealing with these and can enable people to find more balance, space and calm in their bodies, minds and lives.
