Yin Yoga Fridays 1.30pm

An extra soothing, slow & deep yin yoga class for all levels to help you wind down from your week, replenish and set yourself up for the weekend feeling open, calm & rested. You will learn all of the basics that you need to safely and confidently practise yin yoga and become confident working with your breath to bring calm to the nervous system and mind.

WHAT IS YIN YOGA? Our lifestyles tend to be very Yang. Most of us find it hard to switch off, unplug and be still which can eventually lead to burn out. This can come in the form of a breakdown, illness or injury from which it can take a long time to recover. We are then forced to become more Yin in our approach to life. ​ But what if instead we regularly checked in with ourselves? By practising Yin Yoga, we can become more adept and noticing how we really are and actually listening to the signals that our body is trying to send us. Messages like SLOW DOWN. SWITCH OFF and take some time for self-care. ​ In Yin Yoga all poses are all passive and floor based and we hold for on average 5 minutes, working deep into the joints and harder tissues in the body resulting in better circulation to the joints, ligaments, facia and even the bones.

Yoga with Isabelle

Hi, I'm Isabelle, the founder of Respira Yoga London. I offer a welcoming space, a sanctuary away from your busy life. I teach group classes, mini-retreats, 1-2-1 & small group yoga at Respira Studio, Harrow & live streamed yoga classes over zoom.

Our constantly switched-on way of living can deplete and exhaust us, placing huge strain on the nervous system with all sorts of repercussions for our health. Yoga can help to bring a sense of balance and calm to the body and mind. It can renew your levels of energy and vitality and help to bring clarity and focus to your mind. Yoga boosts physical and mental wellbeing and allows the entire body to function more efficiently. The benefits of yoga are well recognized.

MY STORY & HOW I CAN HELP YOU
I first came to yoga 25 years ago finding that yoga brought a sense of clarity and calm to my overworked body and mind and that time spent on the mat gave me the chance to re-connect with my inner-self.

My early training in classical ballet and later immersion in Latin dance has given me an intuitive understanding of the body and movement allowing me to recognize the unique patterns in different bodies. This passion for movement and dance allows me to create mindful flowing sequences that are graceful, powerfully healing moving meditations.

I strongly believe that yoga is for everyone and that the benefits of this ancient practice can be experienced by everybody, of any age or fitness level.

I want to share yoga, make it accessible, make it enjoyable and make it an integral part of people's lives as I understand first-hand the power of yoga and how it can bring release, happiness and inner harmony.

If you’ve been thinking about starting yoga or coming back to yoga but are nervous that it may be too challenging or tricky, then please do try my classes.

You will feel comfortable and empowered to work at a pace that feels intuitively safe and appropriate for your own unique circumstances.

As I guide you through the practice with the breath, my intention is for you to reconnect with yourself and to experience a magical energy and release.

This grounding, self-exploration should leave you feeling uplifted and empowered both on the mat and in your life more generally.
