Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative yoga practice that uses deep, long-held, floor-based postures to apply moderate stress or 'loading' to the connective tissues of the body, particularly around the lower body joints.
Myofascial Release (MFR) is introduced through the use of yoga bricks, blocks, belts and trigger point balls. This equipment is used to support the body in certain postures. The aim is to help hydrate the fascial system, stimulate the lymphatic system and restore optimal muscle function. Other benefits can be relieved physical discomfort and improved neuromuscular efficiency.
IS IT FOR YOU?
Yin Yoga poses are not to be performed in the same way as Hatha Yoga poses. If you are looking to develop your flexibility and mobility, improve the lubrication of your joints, increase your stamina, as well as cultivate an inner stillness, then Yin Yoga with MFR is for you.
