Yin yoga works deeply into our body with passive, longer-held poses. Mostly floor-based using blankets, bolsters, cushions and, sometimes, the wall.
It targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, the deep fascia networks of the body and the meridians. This is contrast to a Yang yoga practice such as Vinyasa yoga which targets the muscles. Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles. Yin yoga also offers wonderful emotional and mental health benefits

Yoga that's designed for you.
Choose from a stretchy soothing floor-based practice (yin yoga). Or a restful restorative practice where the poses lull you into softness with bolsters, cushions and blankets. If you like movement and a bit of a challenge, you may like an active hatha practice. This focuses on learning to listening to your inner self and using the power of your breath to find strength, power, ease and stillness (Sthira, Sukham, Asanam). Whatever you need, you will find it at Yoga with Pauline in a small studio in central Cirencester. Lots of props. Come alone or with your partner or friend. There is lots of room for two and we can also find space for three (not including me). First lesson is free after that £35 for 75 minutes. Street parking is easy during the day. You don't need to bring anything: mats and props are on hand. Just wear comfy clothes you can move easily in.
