Mondays
Pilates - 7-8pm : Guiseley Theatre in the Strauss Room.
Wednesdays
Yoga - 7pm - 8pm : Guiseley Theatre in the Strauss Room.
All classes are for all levels and complete beginners, teaching a Vinyasa/Ashtanga style of yoga and low impactful Pilates exercises going through different levels to suit our own abilities.
Practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa style of Yoga working on a set series of poses (repeated sequence) to help us remember and learn postures easily. Maintaining a consistent practice of the same postures is important in order to see progress in yoga.
We concentrate on tuning into our breath before every practice, and then go through a series of standing and seated postures to help build strength, flexibility, stamina, balance and then guided meditation and relaxation. You'll hold postures longer than a flowing Vinyasa class to help build the above and explore the technical aspects of the poses. Each lesson you will come away feeling well balanced, flexible, energetic, like you've worked your muscles, but most importantly you will feel relaxed.
