Friendly class suitable for beginners or those who have done some yoga. The class consists of yoga asanas (poses) to develop strength, flexibilty and balance with a relaxation/mindfulness meditation for the final 15 minutes. The aim is to enhance your physical and emotional wellbeing. Please bring a yoga mat and a blanket. You are advised not to eat a heavy meal for 2 hours before the class and you will be more comfortable if you wear loose clothing. The cost is £8 per class on a pay as you go basis.

I am a 200 hours trained yoga teacher with the Independent Yoga Network. I love teaching yoga and my aim is for people to enjoy a safe yoga practice and discover the benefits of yoga for physical and emotional wellbeing. I previously have worked for 25 years as a Speech and Language Therapist. I discovered yoga as a way to rehabilitate after injury and have found many personal benefits from regular yoga practice. I believe that yoga offers something for everyone and the feedback I receive from people illustrates the diverse range of benefits that people experience. I believe you are never too old to begin yoga and I adapt the class with modifications to yoga poses to make it accessible for everyone.
