These weekly yoga classes in London Waterloo offer a dynamic practice to strengthen, open and bring balance, along with a mindful approach to improve wellbeing and invigorate body and mind.

Everyone is welcome, from beginners through to those with more experience. Postures will build step by step and be tailored to suit individual needs with modifications or variations.

St. John's Church, Waterloo Road, SE1 8TY
- 2 mins walk from London Waterloo Station (Jubilee, Northern, Bakerloo lines and mainline rail)
- 2 mins from London Waterloo East Station
- 5 mins walk from Southwark tube station (Jubilee line)
- 14mins walk from Embankment tube station (Bakerloo, Northerm, Circle and District lines)

Use the door to the left of the main entrance to the church.

Once you've entered the church turn left and down some stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs turn left to walk through a common area with offices and then through a set of doors.

Continue to the end of the corridor and turn left again - our room is on the right.

Drop-in: £12

Monthly pass: £50 for 5 weeks or £40 for 4 weeks (determined by number of Tuesdays in a month - payment before the class, cash or BACS accepted)

Before your first class
You will need to complete a health form before your first yoga class.

Matt Gill - Yoga, Mindfulness, Mobility

It was the physicality of yoga that initially drew me to the practice...in particular the transitions and the flow of movement.

But I soon found that there were many benefits beyond just the physical...yoga brought greater balance and awareness into my life.

As I continue to deepen my knowledge and understanding of the practice, I feel incredibly lucky to help others discover the benefits of yoga and mindfulness for themselves. These practices have the potential to be truly transformative and my ambition is to make them as accessible as possible to everyone.

As my practice continues to evolve I've found a lot of benefit in slowing things down - moving slowly not only helps us to build physical strength, it also allows us to cultivate a deeper mental connection to our practice.

So by encouraging students to move through their practice with attention and awareness, I try to help them cultivate a deep relationship to their bodies and breath...which in turn develops the quality of presence or mindfulness.

So if you come along to my classes you'll enjoy a friendly, down-to-earth practice centred around mindful, slow-flowing sequences. There will be some challenging bits, some explorative bits and some introspective enquiry too.
