Balance your Yang with Yin - Two different types of yoga in one! All levels welcome and no experience required. Just your commitment and a mat :)
The session will transition between Ashtanga Vinyasa ( Yang) and Yin yoga.
Yin Yoga - Is a passive, slower paced yoga where postures are held for longer periods of time (4-5min) in a relaxed body and muscle state. It is believed, that Yin helps to regulate the flow of energy in the body. We will be holding stretches to access deeper layers of fascia (connective tissue). Yin yoga cultivates, stillness of the body and mind as well as physical ease. This style of yoga is also suitable for people with pains, injuries. Yin will bring back balance and compliment your daily lifestyle perfectly.
Ashtanga Vinyasa - Embrace the present moment through breathing exercises. Train your mind & body to induce a mode of consciousness to reach inner peace through Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga. Ashtanga is a strong practice, where we move our bodies and flow into poses using movement with breath sequence. Master your Ujjayi breath, to calm the mind and detox the body. You will gain lightness, strength, toning of the muscle as you commit and deepen your practice.
All levels welcome
Limited spare mats will be available (4/5), but if you have a mat, please bring that with you.

My name is Toma and it gives me great pleasure to teach yoga throughout London. I am a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 qualified Yoga teacher. I have completed 200 hours of techniques, practise, teaching methodology, anatomy & physiology as well as yoga philosophy, lifestyle & ethics in the discipline of Ashtanga Vinyasa & Yin Yoga.
A little about the two different styles of yoga that I teach:
Ashtanga Vinyasa (Yang)- Ashtanga means eight limbs and Vinyasa means breath synchronised movement. The breath is the heart of this discipline, and links pose (asana) to asana in a precise order. In my sessions, I will be guiding you into various poses and giving you the opportunity to learn how to use synchronisation of breath (Ujjayi pranayama - this will build over time) and asanas in your practise. By using Ujjayi breathing, we produce internal heat to detox and purify the body and mind. You will gain strength, tone and flexibility, as well as get to know your body and your structure better. Ashtanga Yoga once practised for a long time, will become a meditative practise. It also calms the nervous system and quietens the mind chatter. You will become the observer of yourself.
Yin Yoga - Is a passive, slower paced yoga where postures are held for longer periods of time (4-5min) in a relaxed state. Yin is the opposite of Yang and it brings great balance. It is believed that Yin helps to regulate the flow of energy in the body. We will be holding stretches in a relaxed body and muscle state to access deeper layers of fascia. Yin yoga cultivates, stillness of the body and mind as well as physical ease.
My sessions are open for all levels and I encourage and welcome you to try these styles of yoga with me if you haven't done so before. I look forward to seeing you in class :)
