I have been practising Yoga for 17 years, initially to manage a back injury as a result of a car accident. Yoga helped when I was told it was likely to deteriorate. Yoga gave me the means to relax after work whilst regenerating my energy levels. And the best thing I was doing for myself. I got so much more from it than just rehabilitating my back so I did the BWY foundation course to learn more. My teaching diploma felt like a natural progression to share some of the joy and benefits of Yoga. After working in responsible jobs for a multinational company for nearly 21 years I left and started teaching as my job. That was 8 years ago and everyday I love my job more. My style of Yoga is gentle yet strengthening with lots of encouragement to breathe deeply and evenly. I include relaxations, breathing techniques (pranayama) and mudras within my average class.
