We are very excited to share with you, Winter Solstice, the first of our quarterly Wellness & Yoga Days, designed to align you with nature and her elements.
Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere, it is a turning point in the cycle of the year.
Throughout this phase in the cycle, life gets pulled down into the earth, painlessly descending down in to the very heart of herself. We as natures creatures are being asked to do the same, to descend into our bodies, into sleep and into the dark parts of ourselves we often wish to hide.
Getting back to how Winter Solstice used to celebrated is to celebrate all aspects of ourselves, rejoicing in all the intricacies of our life that will have been all part of the woven tapestry that has brought us to where we are now and where we are headed in the future.
During a Winter Solstice phase the quest is to empty yourself, without knowing how you will be reformed. This isn’t a time for vision, more a time of deep rest and quiet reflection. This is a time when the harder you push the slower you go, so we listen deeply, trust that letting go of all old ways of being will make space for the new to birth its way in to existence.
