Celebrate the birth of a new year with a nourishing afternoon of yoga and mindfulness meditation designed to help us reconnect with ourselves after the festive season. The workshop will begin with yoga asanas, combining flowing sequences with deeper, held postures. This is a chance to enjoy spending more time in each asana and to explore more advanced variations. Pranayama breathing exercises will be also be done to help find internal balance. The second half of the afternoon will concentrate on the practice of mindfulness and will include guided meditation techniques, chanting and deep relaxation.

I have been teaching yoga for the last 6 years. I teach hatha, yin, partner, kids and prenatal yoga in particular. The name 'Middle Path Yoga' is an approach rather than a style of yoga. The Middle Path attitude helps to smooth out our own individual imbalances. Those of us with an excess of stress in our lives need a class that involves a good portion of relaxation techniques. For those who lead a more sedate life the emphasis could be placed on energising and fitness.
