Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a physically demanding style of yoga. Students follow a set sequence of postures each time, gradually progressing through the series. This style of Yoga emphasises the linking of movement and breath (vinyasa), Ujjayi breathing and bandhas (energy locks).

I first discovered yoga in 2006 after few injuries and burning myself out teaching numerous high impact Fitness classes. I was always looking/researching for exercise methods that would be all rounded, I guess something more meaningful, which I found while practicing Yoga, not only was is great for the physical body but what it does for the mind and spirit hooked me into it. Since then I have participated in numerous Yoga teachers training and still always learning.
For me, yoga is about the balance between strength and flexibility, exertion, and releasing. So, my classes combine both strength and mobility work in a dynamic, Vinyasa Flow style. Expect to move, sweat, and breathe.
