Beginners/Gentle Flow

Join me for an hour's gentle flow yoga on Thursday mornings, starting on 14th April

Patanjali, the great sage and author of the Yoga Sutras, one of the most important yogic texts, tells us that yoga is a state of being. It occurs when our minds are still, free from the constant pull of our likes and dislikes, the light and dark of our personalities and our inner struggle to find a meaningful, sustainable and fulfilling life.

In these weekly classes we will explore yoga as a way to access this stillpoint, this wellspring of peace and equilibrium. Where yoga becomes something we feel rather than do, the place where everything that was fragmented heals and we become whole again.

You don't need any prior experience of yoga to join and classes are drop-in so you don't need to pre-book. You also don't need to be flexible...or strong...or young...or slim or able to stand on your head! You just need to be open to potentially making your day much better by learning how to use your breath and slow, mindful movement to still the mind and prepare the body for meditation, which is the original and ultimate goal of yoga.

No tying yourself in knots, no 40 degree heat, just pure, simple, blissful yoga.

Mats and props are provided but please do bring your own if you have one.

Introductory offer: First class £5.50
£11 drop-in after that
£50 for a 5 class pass (expires in 8 weeks)

Amanda Wilkes Yoga

I first practiced yoga when I was pregnant with my second child, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I came back to the practice some years later and after establishing a strong alignment based foundation with Iyengar and Hatha I eventually found my yogic home in Vinyasa Flow, instantly loving the fluidity and grace of the practice and the use of music to enhance the experience. I am passionate about creating a safe, friendly and welcoming space for my students to explore the multi-faceted practice of yoga so they may connect with their inner guru, reach their highest potential both on and off the mat and experience the transformation that is possible through a dedicated, conscious practice.
