This course is suitable for those who are absolutely new to yoga or wish to refresh the basics of yoga.
The practice will build week by week, introducing you to new postures.
At the end of the course you will feel confident to attend the regular yoga classes.
You will learn the correct technique for the physical poses and this will help you develop strength and flexibility safely.
You will also learn breathing and relaxation techniques to help calm the mind from every day stress.
If you are unable to attend the course the gentle yoga classes are suitable for complete beginners, or a nice step from the course.

The style of yoga that we teach is a contemporary approach to yoga. It has at its heart the teachings of the powerful Raja Dhiraja approach to dynamic vinyasa flow, hatha and restorative yoga. Perhaps you enjoy fast and flowing yoga, perhaps you like to go slow and deep. Or maybe you are completely new looking to start your yoga journey. We love it all and want everyone to feel comfortable. Yoga is a practise that is meant for everyone it will teach you to know yourself, love yourself and accept yourself. The Yoga project is a studio based in the gym SR2. It is a beautiful and intimate hideaway to come and practise your yoga. It’s a haven of tranquility that will leave you feeling energised and calm. Good music, cool vibe and friendly staff, We provide all the equipment. All you need to do is wear something comfortable that you can freely move around in. There is a café outside so we can catch up with a herbal tea after practice.
