Suitable for ladies who are 14-30 weeks pregnant. Equally suitable for ladies with or without previous yoga experience. Birthlight classes are fun, safe and effective to help you enjoy your pregnancy.
This class will focus on increasing your capacity to breathe for two with various pranayama (breathing techniques). It will also focus on asanas (postures) to strengthen the muscles which support you and baby (mainly your back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles). I have been pracitising yoga for over 20 years and completed 200 hours of teacher training at the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania in 1998. I completed my Perinatal Diploma, yoga for labour and birth in 2010-2011. In 2012 I have started my advanced postnatal diploma with Birthlight.
I currently teach a Hatha Level 2 class, two Hatha Level 1 classes and two pregnancy yoga classes in Rugby, Warwickshire. I also teach monthly workshops on yoga for labour and birth for women in late pregnancy, along with their chosen birth partners.
