This course is suitable for complete beginners and students who want to refresh their knowledge of basic yoga postures and breathing.
Over the 8 week course, I will teach you a variety of yoga poses and breathing techniques. You will learn how to hold a series of postures to improve your strength as well as the techniques for flowing through a sequence of postures to improve coordination. Each session ends with a relaxation to create a sense of peace and calm within.
By the end of the 8 week course my aim is for you to have developed more strength and flexibility, whilst learning to be less stressed.
Students need to be able to get up and down off the floor unassisted to attend this course. No prior knowledge of Yoga is needed.

I was first introduced to yoga in 1998 and have practiced many different styles of yoga since. I combine dynamic yoga sequences with strength building postures to create a balanced practice. My classes include breathing, relaxation and concentration techniques, so that students may gain a deeper awareness of how their breath, body and mind are connected.
I completed my teacher training diploma with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2009 and continue to enjoy attending training courses with a variety of distinguished teachers. I also gained qualifications to teach Yoga to people living with or recovering from cancer, Yoga Nidra (relaxation) and Yoga for Kids.
Yoga helps to make me more happy and less stressed – I hope you learn to love it as much as I do!
