Iyengar yoga is for everyone. You do not need be at the peak of physical fitness to practise asanas – B.K.S. Iyengar developed a range of props, such as wooden bricks, blankets, belts and chairs, which enable every person to improve their asana practice and benefit from it.
What to expect in the class?
• Emphasise on correct body alignment which allows the body to work in an anatomically precise way so that the student progresses safely
• Correct sequencing which gradually helps to develop strength, flexibility, stamina, concentration and relaxation
• Accurate timing, longer than in some other styles, allowing tense muscles to lengthen and relax

My interest in yoga and oriental philosophy started when I studied Bharatanatyam, Indian classic dance in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
Yoga gave me strength, confidence and health and I wanted to share my experience with others.
I spent 14 years teaching Hatha yoga and Pilates to art students at the Art and Industrial Design Academy in Saint Petersburg, before moving to the UK.
Rigorous 5 years studing at the Iyengar Yoga Institute Maida Vale in London allowed me to become an internationally recognised Iyengar yoga teacher and teach students in this precise and beautiful style.
