Gentle Hatha Yoga - Beginner level FREE class

Hatha Yoga is a more gentle approach to yoga and is often a good class for those completely new to yoga. This style of yoga is slower and less physically demanding than other styles of yoga, but it will still help to build strength, stamina and flexibility through the yoga postures whilst also allowing space for deep release and relaxation with guided meditation and breathing exercises. A perfect way to stretch out and wind down from your day.

Come along to meet new people and to move and stretch your body in a gentle and safe way. The classes are open level and suitable for beginners, and the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and welcoming. Don't worry if you've never done yoga before.

Regular attendance will help you to feel more at ease in your body; will relieve aches and pains; improve your fitness, flexibility and balance; and help you to manage stress. The classes are also a great opportunity to connect with other people in your community. You don't need to bring anything, just wear something comfortable that you can move in.

No need to book, just come along - yoga mats and blocks are provided.

SARAH BURGESS YOGA LONDON

I am a dedicated yoga practitioner and a passionate, very experienced and fully qualified Senior Yoga Teacher based in East London, with over 14 years teaching experience and 800+ hours of teaching certifications.

I teach regular weekly classes in London , as well as monthly workshops and beginners courses. I also offers personalised private yoga, both for individuals and in the workplace. I teach mostly in East London (E14, E2, E8, E9), as well as in The City and Central London.

I am proud to be recognised as a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals and have also been honoured to be featured as Teacher of the Month in Yoga Magazine.

My current teaching is a mix of in-studio and live-streamed classes, and includes pregnancy yoga, vinyasa yoga, beginners’ yoga courses, ashtanga yoga, slow flow yoga, yin yoga, restorative yoga and postnatal yoga for mums and babies – please check my current schedule for more details: https://www.sarahburgessyoga.com/schedule/

I truly believe that everyone can benefit from yoga, whatever their background, age, size or current physical condition, and my approach to teaching is one of warmth, encouragement and care and is always tailored to an individual’s needs. My main aim is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone and to help people find more ease and freedom in both their body and mind.

Having lived in London and worked in a busy office job in the publishing industry for many years before teaching, I am very aware of the stresses and challenges of big city living, and know how a regular yoga practice can be enormously helpful in dealing with these and can enable people to find more balance, space and calm in their bodies, minds and lives.
