Directly translated HA means Sun, and THA means moon. It is all about balancing the mind and the body. This is achieved by working on the body through postures "asanas". It works on the mind by way of the breath pranayama. These "asanas" give us a strong and healthy body and pranayama quietens the mind through our breathing. Hatha Yoga provides us with a strong healthy body and mind.
