We begin with a few minutes of relaxation to quieten the mind and separate our thoughts from the busyness of our day. We then practise some pranayama (breathing exercises to increase relaxation and to balance the mind). From here, we warm up the body and move into some asanas (physical postures). These are a combination of a dynamic sequence called Soorya Namaskar (Sun Salutation), some more static standing postures and some deep stretching on the mat.
We then practise some gentler movements in order to wind down and come into a final relaxation. By the end of the class, you will have relaxed, warmed up, stretched, strengthened and rested your body and mind.

Hi I'm Lynne and I have been practising yoga for 20 years and teaching for 1 of those in Brighton and Shoreham. I bring influences from Iyengar and Sivananda yoga to my Hatha Yoga classes, and my training is deeply rooted in Integral Yoga. I teach all levels of ability, and encourage mindfulness and awareness of the body in my classes to create a warm and relaxed way of practising. I offer classes, workshops, retreats and one-2-one tuition around in Shoreham and the surrounding areas.
Since qualifying as an Integral Hatha Yoga Teacher, I have continued my studies which also now include qualifications in pregnancy, postnatal, birth preparation yoga and also yoga for chronic conditons such as Multiple Sclerosis.
Yoga has supported me through various life stages and challenges. I love teaching people and seeing that it can so the same for them too.
I hope that you too can find a way to bring yoga into your life
