Hatha Yoga is a form of exercise and meditation where we breath through yoga postures. The word Hatha is broken down by Ha meaning sun and Tha meaning moon. These are opposing energies and the path of yoga helps up gain balance in ourselves, on and off the mat.
The postures in Yoga allow us to open energy flows in the body these are called our Chakras. Yoga helps us to still our minds and the strengthen and stretch our bodies.
In our yoga classes you can expect postures (asana), breathing (pranayama), Relaxation and meditation. I teach mixed ability classes so you can attend if you are a beginner or an advanced practitioner. I offer lots of variations, adaptations and alternatives so everyone is practising to the best of their ability in the safest possible way.
My regular participants always leave these sessions saying they feel like they have had a vigorous workout yet they feel relaxed and calm. I am always pushing my participants to get the most out of themselves and I have seen many great results.
