Flower Yoga brings Hatha yoga and relaxation to students of all ages and abilities,
throughout Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
Hatha ('ha' meaning 'sun', 'tha' meaning 'moon' in Sanskrit) yoga is a unifying, gentle style
of yoga that combines poses (asanas) with breathing (pranayama), resulting in improved balance, strength, flexibility and physical and mental wellbeing.
------------
After twelve years of practising yoga, I knew it was time to use the experience I had gained and share my passion.
I began my yoga teacher training journey by studying with Zenways, under Julian Daizan Skinner Rōshi, the first English Zen Master. I became a certified 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher in November 2014. By training with Zenways, I found a deep love of mindfulness and meditation - I knew intuitively that I wanted to share this exceptional practice alongside yoga. I attended Zenways Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher Training and was taught by Barbara Gabrys, a Zen teacher at the Oxford Zen Society. For now, I am a mindful meditation trainee teacher. I then continued my yoga teacher training by studying at Special Yoga under Jo Manuel, learning how to bring the wonder of yoga and mindfulness to the lives of children with special educational needs.
