Yoga Space Penang is a studio in the heart of the busy Tanjung Tokong area with a community feeling. It provides traditional Hatha yoga and qigong classes for all ages and levels of ability. When the schedule allows, you can stay for a cup of tea and a chat with the teacher and your fellow students.
This studio was founded by Yogacharini Suzanne Morgan and Yogacharya Ken Morgan who were professionally trained at Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda's Ananda Ashram (International Centre For Yoga Education And Research) in Pondicherry, South India. In 1998, they both undertook a six month intensive residential teacher training course there. Since then they have taught in England, Cyprus and Malaysia. They also undertook further training in the Viniyoga tradition. Their training in the paths of Hatha, Raja and Jnana yoga includes asana, vinyasa, pranayama, meditation.
Ken is trained in various qigong forms and practices including both dynamic forms (like Wild Goose qigong and Guigen qigong) and stationary practices like breathing and meditation.
