Hatha Yoga

Mindful Hatha combines postures (asanas) with conscious breathing and focus to develop strength, flexibility and mental clarity. Creating flexibility in the joints and connective tissue, encouraging more ease in the body and an improved flow of prana. Focuses on the foundations and the mechanics of the practice with holding poses for longer periods of time.

Hatha yoga is one of the most practiced yoga forms and has the potential to help with flexibility and focus in all aspects of life. Students can expect to develop body awareness and explore varied postures in a mixed-level environment. Classes practice the art of deep breathing (pranayama) and close with a long and relaxing, Yoga Nidra.

Bonnie is trained with the Mandala Yoga Ashram (RYS 69days), Agama Yoga (RYS 500hrs) and is a BWY accredited teacher. Her initial training was at the Agama Yoga School in Thailand which she found to be a life-changing experience.

After developing a deep interest in the power of natural healing, she undertook a two and a half year healing course with, The Soul Therapy Centre in London. She then lived at the Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales for a period of time and undertook their 2 year residential Teacher Training programme, during which, moved back to her home town in Cornwall, where she is now successfully teaching several classes.

Bonnie’s teaching style has evolved from her in-depth training with established, classical yoga systems which stem from the Tantric traditions using awareness of the chakra’s and alignment. And with a dedicated meditation practice that developed from her stay and training with Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales. She offer's heart placed classes; light and full of enthusiasm with uplifting philosophy, non-competitiveness and humour. They are based on the mindful approach of awareness, with breath and body alignment.

Bonnie continues to work and train with various teachers and different styles to keep her classes fresh and challenging.
