Hatha yoga is typically practised more slowly than Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga yoga. ‘Ha’ represents the esoteric sun, and ‘tha’ the moon. The practice of Hatha yoga aims to join, yoke, or balance these two energies. Expect meditation, breath work, static poses, sprinklings of yoga philosophy, and mindfulness weaved in throughout class with poses that build strength and flexibility.
