Each class begins with awareness of our breathing and ends with a period of relaxation. We learn how tightness and tension affects our emotions as well as our movement. We use yoga postures as a guide to movement but rather than contorting ourselves into a "shape" we practice patterns of movement that will help us in our everyday life. The focus is noticing our individual experiences in movement and breathing.
In these classes, the yoga poses work for you. This is not a "quick fix" but if you stick with it, you will notice changes and feel better about yourself.
Be comfortable when you come. The atmosphere is very supportive - from students, teacher and, of course, the ground!
