Yoga has been part of my life since a child. My late Mum loved to go to Hatha Yoga and release the tensions of being a Mum of three! Even as a child I sensed what great things came of having Yoga in your life. It isn't just a physical practice; it is a practice that serves the mind, body and soul. If we can be fully present in the moment, then we lessen the fluctuating thoughts of past and future, and in turn calm the body and mind.
Back in 2006, I had a very stressful job, and attended Hatha Yoga classes several times a week. The subtle yet noticeable changes that I discovered were to be the start of my fascination with this beautiful practice. If I were to miss a session for any reason, my body and mind missed it!
In 2012, I discovered I was pregnant with my first child. I embarked on a pregnancy yoga journey guided by yoga teacher Tara Lee. My practice became an everyday routine and I truly believe my pregnancy was so much easier because I learned techniques to help the varying pregnancy symptoms, aches and pains. But more than anything it was my chance to simply be with my unborn baby; a quiet time to connect with him! Pure bliss!
In 2013 my fascination of Yoga deepened when I decided to take the plunge and learn how to teach Hatha Yoga, and got my RYT200 hour qualification with Yoga Alliance US. Then in 2016 embarked on my Perinatal Yoga journey with YogaKidz Worldwide, and qualified to teach Pregnancy, Birthing and Postnatal Yoga.
My style of teaching is relaxed and fun, and aim to have students feeling relaxed, calm and happy when they leave my class!
