Monthly Reset - Qigong & Restorative Yoga - selected dates only

A monthly two hour class devoted to mindfulness and relaxation through qigong and restorative yoga.

Qigong (pronounced chee-gung) is an ancient Chinese intention-based practice that uses gentle movement and the breath to balance our energy flow. It assists in increasing our circulation, releasing tension in the body, building strength, and calming the mind. Qigong is one of the 5 pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the foundation of all martial arts, and has spiritual aspects allowing us to connect with the harmony of the natural world.

Restorative Yoga is a relaxation practice for conscious deep rest. Throughout the practice, props are used to support the physical body in positions of ease, helping to facilitate a positive relaxation response, where you can feel supported and nourished.

Both practices are accessible for everyone, and combining them together provides you with the opportunity to recharge and reset - physically, mentally and emotionally.

Ginger Yoga

Gail is a teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga and has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. She teaches Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Teen Yoga, Menopause Yoga, Qigong, and Yoga and Mindfulness for Children.  Gail's classes also include pranayama/breathing exercises, meditation, and guided relaxations.

Gail teaches both face to face and online classes, 1-2-1's and also has an online 'Yoga Pick 'n' Mix' membership site for on-demand yoga.

Regular in-person classes are held at Ginger Yoga Yurt (Bettisfield), Loppington Village Hall and Wem Town Hall, reaching yogis from locations such as Ellesmere, Whitchurch, Oswestry, Wrexham, Market Drayton, Shawbury and Shrewsbury.

The classes are suitable for all abilities, and beginners are very welcome. It would be helpful to have a warm blanket at each lesson so you can fully enjoy the relaxation part of each class.
