New Pregnancy Yoga Classes, Starting 22 July 2018

Take some time on a Sunday afternoon to boost your and your baby’s wellbeing!

During pregnancy, yoga can help enhance the experience of this wonderful time and empower the mother-to-be. Yoga enables women to enjoy their pregnancy with minimal discomfort, easing typical ailments, calming, cultivating breath awareness and strengthening the body in preparation for labour.

Coming to classes is also a great way to connect with a local community of pregnant women and many women who practise yoga find they regain their fitness more quickly after giving birth.

Classes are suitable for anyone after their first trimester and you can try a class for just £10 – so come along and experience the benefits of yoga!

Black Cat Yoga

With a background in frenetic management roles in healthcare, Carla is passionate about yoga as the perfect way to grow stronger, more flexible and resilient, both on and off the mat. Carla has studied yoga for over 10 years, learning from an array of great teachers and a breadth of traditions.

Teaching yoga in public sector organisations, corporate and local group classes and privately, Carla draws from various practices, and her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, to create friendly, relaxed and welcoming classes that will build strength, flexibility, and re-balance body and mind. Classes include technique and alignment cues for different levels, including beginners, and flowing sequences and variations that will still challenge more experienced practitioners.

Carla is a qualified pre and post-natal yoga teacher and loves to bring the unique benefits of yoga to help pregnant women cultivate awareness of the breath and strengthen the body in preparation for labour, as well as support new mothers in re-connecting with their own health and well-being.
