We’ve been successfully running our Prenatal Yoga Classes since 2013. Chosen as the only Coventry Prenatal Yoga classes In 2017 by the NHS who advertised our classes in their antenatal brochure information booklet.

Whether it’s strengthening the right muscles, learning to breathe deeply or finding your inner calm, taking Prenatal yoga classes can really help when it comes time to push.

Pregnancy is a wonderful and sometimes fearful time in a woman’s life. It is a time that requires space, respect and attention. Prenatal yoga at Coventry Pilates Studio can offer just that to mums-to-be.

Yoga can give you all the tools you need to have a safe and natural labour – to work with the breath, stay centred, to calm and ground and to ensure you and your baby do not suffer from distress and anxiety. Yoga postures can help open the pelvis to ensure optimal positioning of your baby for birth, aid in turning a breach baby and can give you the strength, stamina, courage and focus needed to deliver your baby safely and naturally.

The Active Birth movement has been around since the 1970’s and is a natural birth philosophy that believes active - standing, kneeling, squatting – positions are optimal for labour and delivery. These positions help contractions by working with gravity, reducing pain and providing greater pelvic openings. Classes always finish with deep relaxations and guided birth/pregnancy visualisations to restore energy and revitalise the body and mind.

Maximum 12 in our classes
Prenatal Yoga is on a Wednesday evening at either 6 or 7pm
Please note there is one flight of stairs to the studio
