We begin with a cardio warm up and stretching to get our bodies and minds ready to dance. Together we learn a dance that is an opportunity to explore an element of yoga philosophy through the medium of dance. We finish with a yoga stretch and Yoga Nidra.

After discovering the power of Pregnancy Yoga to support pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, I decided to learn more so I could share the secret, training with Sally Parkes Pregnancy Yoga. The more I discover about our incredible bodies, the more I want to shout the message of Yoga for Women from the rooftops. Before having children, I had always been into fitness; I was a gymnast and dancer and also worked as a gymnastics coach. When I became pregnant, I found that there was a lack of readily available information about how to stay healthy during pregnancy and the postnatal period. I also believed that the midwives would tell me all I needed to know about labour and laid all responsibility on their shoulders for the healthy birth of my baby. Midwives are incredible people but after my first birth experience I realised that I had to take ownership of my body, birth and baby. Therefore, during my second pregnancy, I practised Pregnancy Yoga and Birth Preparation; it changed everything. I felt strong and empowered during my second birth experience, despite exhaustion and pain, my body and my mind knew what to do. I strongly recommend practising Pregnancy Yoga and taking part in Birth Preparation if you are pregnant. Namaste
