Slow Flow

A Slow Flow Vinyasa/Hatha style class suitable for all levels including complete beginners. We begin with a seated meditation followed by a gentle warm up of the body before flowing through Sun Salutation and Warrior sequences. These are practiced at a slower pace, breaking postures down for those unfamiliar to yoga or those wanting to improve their knowledge and practice asanas safely. We then move into a more relaxed style covering various asanas including balances, floor work, core work and twists. We end the class with a beautiful relaxation complete with toasty warm blankets and eye pillows. My classes are very much focused on stretching, opening and releasing all areas of the body. I offer all levels of postures suitable to individuals levels, abilities and needs offering demonstrations and adjustments where necessary.

Yoga with Sam Currie

I have been practising yoga for the past 15 years. I initially began after the birth of my first daughter as a means to rid the baby weight and improve my core strength, I had no idea it would totally change my mind set and outlook on life. I completely fell in love with it. I have practised many forms over the years from Samporna and vinyasa flow to kundalini and yin. I completed the BWY Foundation course in 2012 and qualified as an IYN 300 hr ChillOut Yoga teacher in November 2017. I am a member of the Independant Yoga Network. I have been teaching for over a year and have taught at ChillOut Yoga Studio in Long Melford and at my studio at my home. I have been running regular weekly classes at Hessett Village Hall since September 2017.
