In class we practice sense withdrawal from the external environment and to achieve this we focus on the breath and sound vibrations. This then promotes inner calm, wellbeing and a sense of grounding and concentration. Once focused we practice asana (postures) to the level suited to the individuals requirements, releasing tension and rejuvenating the body in a kind and mindful way, we then take a deep relaxation to end.

I discovered Yoga when I was 15 years old and had been diagnosed with a condition in my spine that required surgery. I refused the surgery and was informed I would be in a wheel chair by the age of 30, now and 40 years later I am still standing thanks to Yoga :)
For 15 years I was a full time Yoga Teacher/Therapist at Young Epilepsy working with a wide range of conditions including epilepsy, autism, challenging behaviour and set up the Yoga department for both the school and the college. I also provided classes for the staff at Young Epilepsy
