My classes are grounded in the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar (Iyengar Yoga) & Krishnamacharya (Flow/Vinyasa Yoga). I'm currently inspired by the teachings of Seane Corn, Shiva Rae, Claire Missingham, Sarah Powers, Paul Griley and Geeta Iyengar.
Flow/Vinyasa Yoga focuses on connecting the poses in a dynamic sequence or salutation and linking each movement to the breath. This type of practice is very invigorating and requires a good level of fitness. The body heats up quickly and is able to rid itself of toxins.
I play carefully chosen music during class encouraing students to draw their attention inward to what is happening in the body, the breath and the mind and to become more present on the mat and less present in the room.
