Suitable for all levels, Yin is a meditative form of yoga. We use longer holds in relaxed seated and lying postures to allow deeper layers within our body to be stretched. The slower pace of the class gives an opportunity to explore the meditative aspects of yoga, using techniques such as mindfulness. Yin yoga is a chance to step back from the continual maelstrom of our daily lives and achieve balance, peace and calm.

I started yoga in 2003 with a rigorous Ashtanga practice, loving the physical challenge of this style. I immediately appreciated the fun non-competitive self-exploration that yoga encourages, often surprising myself with what was possible.
Although I still practice and love Ashtanga, I've broadened my yoga into other styles, now loving everything from an invigorating Dynamic Vinyasa Flow, calmer Hatha Yoga to restful Yin Yoga. I've come to appreciate the impact yoga practice can have on our outlook, providing a much needed opportunity for relaxation and restoration in today's hectic world.
Seated meditation has become an important part of my practice. The benefits to my life from meditation are many, and so I include an element of this in my teaching.
I completed my yoga teacher diploma at Yogacampus in London, studying with teachers who have a variety of approaches, such as Liz Lark, Richard Freeman, Graham Burns and Sarah Litton. Attending workshops and seminars keeps me up to date, and I'm registered with the Yoga Alliance.
I hope to meet you on your mat someday soon.
